Russia's production of chickpeas dropped by more than 11 percent in 2019, according to a recent report. The country produced around 506,000 metric tons, down from 620,000 metric tons the year before. Myanmar was the top producer of chickpeas in 2019, with 506,000 metric tons, followed by Russia and Ethiopia. The two countries produced a combined total of over 1.1 million metric tons.
