Slovak chickpea production is set to drop to 57 million metric tons by 2026. It was 138 million metric tons in 2021. That's a decrease of 14.5% every year on average. Since 1998, production has decreased by 8.3% annually. In 2021, Slovakia was the 50th largest producer of chickpeas, behind Iraq at 138 million metric tons. Myanmar, Russia and Ethiopia were the second, third and fourth largest producers, respectively.
