Cypriot chickpea production is forecast to reach nearly 70 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight decrease compared to 2021, when numbers were at 75 metric tons. Since 1966, the supply has been dropping at a rate of around 1.4% per year. In 2021, the country was ranked 51st in chickpea production. Chile surpassed Cypriot numbers with 75 metric tons. Myanmar, Russia and Ethiopia came in second, third and fourth, respectively.
