Guyanese soup import is set to reach 846,000 kilograms by 2026. This is a growth of 2.8% annually since 2021, when the import was 716,000 kilograms. Since 1997, the demand for Guyanese soup has risen at a rate of 9.3% a year. In 2021, the country was ranked 85th in the world for soup import, with Belarus overtaking it with 715,730 kilograms. The Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom were ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. In contrast, Guyanese soup export fell by 98.6% in 2018, from 1,070 kilograms in 2017, to 15.12 kilograms. Since 2013, the supply of Guyanese soup has declined 57.1% annually. In 2018, the country was ranked 114th in the world for soup export, with Mauritius coming in ahead with 15.12 kilograms. Canada, Senegal and Germany were ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
