Namibian soup imports are projected to drop by 1.3% year on year to 2 million kilograms by 2026, down from 2.2 million kilograms in 2021. This marks a decrease of 3.9% since 2005. In 2021, Namibia ranked 54th in the world for soup imports, overtaken by Mauritania at 2.2 million kilograms. The Netherlands, Germany, and the United Kingdom were the second, third and fourth largest importers, respectively. Namibian soup exports drastically decreased by 17.7% to 2 thousand kilograms in 2021, compared to 2.4 thousand kilograms in 2020. Since 2005, the country’s supply has decreased by 31.4%. In 2021, Bangladesh surpassed Namibia at 2 thousand kilograms, ranking as the 100th largest exporter. Canada, Senegal, and Germany were the second, third and fourth largest exporters, respectively.
