Demand for soup in Jordan is expected to skyrocket over the next five years. From 2021 to 2026, the country's imports are projected to grow by 2.3% a year on average, from 5.3 million kilograms to 6.1 million kilograms. Since 1999, Jordanian demand has increased by 3.3% per year. In 2021, Jordan was the 33rd largest importer worldwide, behind Jamaica. The Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Jordanian soup exports, however, are projected to decline over the same period. From 2021 to 2026, average annual exports are expected to fall by 0.8%, from 310,000 kilograms to 295,000 kilograms. Since 1999, Jordanian supply has decreased by 15.9% per year. In 2021, the country was the 66th largest exporter, behind Mongolia. Canada, Senegal and Germany followed, in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
