Since 1999, Swiss chestnut production has grown steadily by 7.7% annually. In 2021, Switzerland ranked 18th in chestnut production, overtaken by Bulgaria which produced 256 metric tons. Spain, Bolivia and South Korea were the top three producers, in that order.
