This represents an average annual growth rate of 1.6% since 2021, when production stood at 547 metric tons. Since 1966, chestnut production in Bulgaria has grown at a rate of 1.7% per year. In 2021, the country was at number 17 in the global ranking, just behind Azerbaijan, which had 547 metric tons. Spain, Bolivia and South Korea were at numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
