Chile is expected to be one of the fastest-growing almond producers in the world over the next five years. Production is set to reach 48,130 metric tons by 2026, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year, according to a new report. Since 1979, Chilean almond supply has grown 5.2% year-on-year. In 2021, the country was ranked 11th in the world for almond production, overtaken by China with 41,530 metric tons. Spain, Iran and Australia respectively ranked second, third and fourth in the same ranking.
