Italian almond production is set to decrease by 1.4% annually over the next five years. Last year, Italy was the world's 8th largest producer, with 74,710 metric tons. Tunisia overtook them with a total of 74,710 metric tons. Spain, Iran and Australia rounded out the top four with 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. Since 1966, Italian almond production has remained consistent year on year. In 2026, it is expected to reach 68,650 metric tons.
