Austrian Seafood Import Set to Climb to Nearly $393 Million by 2028 VIENNA, Austria – Austria's seafood import market is projected to reach approximately $393 million by 2028, up from around $378 million in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 0.6%. Since the turn of the millennium, Austrian demand for seafood has shown a steady increase, with an average year-on-year growth rate of 0.3%. In the global ranking for seafood imports, Austria held the 16th position in 2023. Finland surpassed Austria with seafood imports also amounting to about $378 million. Leading the list were France, Sweden, and Germany, securing the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
