In 2023, Tanzania ranked 73rd globally in fish consumption, with Jordan slightly ahead at the same level of approximately 34,000 metric tons. Leading the global rankings were Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand, occupying the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions, respectively.
