Uganda’s fish production is projected to reach approximately 183,000 metric tons by 2028, up from about 152,000 metric tons in 2023. This represents an average annual growth rate of 3%. Since 1989, Uganda's fish supply has seen a consistent increase of nearly 8% each year. In terms of consumption, Uganda recorded a total of 190 metric tons in 2018, maintaining the same level as the previous year, 2017.
