This trend has been consistent since 2019, with a 1.4% annual reduction in demand. In 2023, Saudi Arabia ranked 37th in global fish consumption. Canada led the ranking with 117,000 metric tons consumed. Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand followed, securing the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
