Since 2019, fish demand in Armenia has decreased by an average of 0.4% per year. As of 2023, Armenia ranked 147th globally in fish consumption, with Guinea-Bissau just ahead at 2,190 metric tons. Leading the global rankings were Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively.
