Israel was the top importer, with Poland, the United States, and France following respectively. Exports of salmon from Ireland totaled 6.7 million kilograms in 2021, making it the 13th largest exporter. The Netherlands was the top exporter, while Sweden, Chile, and the United Kingdom followed behind. Since 1997, Irish demand for salmon has grown by an average of 7.7% year-on-year, while supply has risen by 2.5%. By 2026, imports are expected to hit 7.5 million kilograms and exports to reach 7.5 million kilograms.
