Salmon exports from Greece are expected to reach nearly 690,000 kilograms by 2026, up from 565,000 kilograms in 2021. This would represent a growth rate of around 3% year-on-year. Since 1998, Greek salmon exports have risen by almost 12% year-on-year. In 2021, Greece was the 21st largest exporter of salmon, behind Spain which exported 565,000 kilograms. Sweden, Chile and the United Kingdom followed as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest exporters respectively. Salmon imports to Greece are expected to reach 11.5 million kilograms by 2026, up from 8.95 million kilograms in 2021. This would represent an average growth rate of 4% year-on-year. Since 1994, Greek salmon imports have grown by 18% year-on-year. In 2021, Greece was the 22nd largest importer of salmon, behind Portugal which imported 8.95 million kilograms. Poland, the United States and France followed as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest importers respectively.
