Russia saw a 6.3% drop in salmon imports in 2021, to 11.2 million kilograms from 11.9 million kilograms in 2020. This marks a 7.7% decrease since 2001. Canada topped the list with 11.2 million kilograms, followed by Poland, the United States and France. Russian salmon exports are expected to reach 407,230 kilograms by 2026, a 3.4% increase from 2021's 327,960 kilograms. Since 2001, the country has seen a 7.6% decrease in supply. Hungary overtook Russia with 327,960 kilograms, and was followed by Sweden, Chile and the United Kingdom.
