In 2021, Portugal was the top exporter at 208,060 kilograms, followed by Sweden, Chile, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, imports of salmon are forecast to decline by 2.3% each year on average, reaching 3,254,500 kilograms by 2026. This would be a slight decrease from 2000, when imports were 1.1% lower than the year before. In 2021, Romania was the top importer at 3,671,700 kilograms, followed by Poland, the United States, and France.
