This would be a slight increase from 2001, when exports were 11.5% higher than the year before. In 2021, Portugal was the top exporter at 208,060 kilograms, followed by Sweden, Chile, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, imports of salmon are forecast to decline by 2.3% each year on average, reaching 3,254,500 kilograms by 2026. This would be a slight decrease from 2000, when imports were 1.1% lower than the year before. In 2021, Romania was the top importer at 3,671,700 kilograms, followed by Poland, the United States, and France.
