Polish salmon imports are expected to reach around 211 million kilograms by 2026, growing at a rate of nearly 3% a year. Since 2001, demand for salmon has increased 6.1% annually. Poland was the world's second-largest importer in 2021, coming in behind Sweden with 175 million kilograms. The United States, France, and Poland were respectively numbers three, four, and five in the ranking. Poland is also a major exporter of salmon, with shipments projected to reach around 3.9 million kilograms by 2026, growing 4.1% each year. Since 2003, the country's supply has risen 18.5%. Poland came in at number 17 in 2021, behind New Zealand's 3 million kilograms. Sweden, Chile, and the United Kingdom were respectively numbers two, three, and four in the ranking.
