Since 2001, Albanian demand has grown 6.1% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 62nd in the world for salmon imports, with Moldova claiming the number one spot. The United States, Poland and France were the second, third and fourth largest importers of salmon respectively. Exports of Albania's salmon are predicted to reach 10,600 kilograms by 2026, up from 8,300 kilograms in 2021. This growth is expected to occur at an average of 3.9% year-on-year. Since 2010, Albanian supply has increased 6.8% year-on-year. In 2021, South Korea was the top exporter of salmon to Albania, followed by Sweden, Chile and the United Kingdom.
