Norwegian frozen fish exports are expected to reach around $1.4 billion by 2026, slightly above the 2021 figure of $1.4 billion. It has seen no year-on-year growth since 1998. In 2021, Norway ranked fifth, with Chile taking the spot above them. The United States, Russia, and Chile ranked second, third, and fourth respectively. Norwegian frozen fish imports, however, are expected to decline slightly to $51 million by 2026, falling by an average of 2.5% year on year. Since 1998, demand has increased by 0.7% year on year. In 2021, Norway ranked 49th, with Malta overtaking them. Japan, Thailand, and South Korea took second, third, and fourth place respectively.
