Peruvian shellfish exports are expected to reach just under $300 million by 2026, growing at an average rate of 2.9% year on year. This is up from $247 million in 2021, representing an increase of 12.9% since 2000. Peru was in eleventh place in the 2021 rankings, with Chile overtaking them at $247 million. Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia were second, third and fourth respectively. Peruvian shellfish imports are forecast to reach $435 million by 2026, increasing at an average rate of 2.6% year on year. This is down from $367 million in 2021, representing a decrease of 0.7% since 2000. Peru was in 48th place in the 2021 rankings, with Iceland overtaking them at $367 million. Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom were in second, third and fourth place respectively.
