China's shellfish export is forecast to reach $6 billion by 2026, up from $5 billion in 2021. On average, exports have grown 2.6% year on year since 2000. Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia were in the top four exporters. Meanwhile, Chinese shellfish imports are projected to grow by 3.1% year on year to $255 million in 2026. Since 2000, imports have risen 16.9% on average. China was the 11th largest importer in 2021, while Sweden was the top importer with $212 million. Japan, South Korea and the UK rounded out the top four.
