Australian shellfish exports are projected to fall by 7.6% year on year on average, reaching $16 million by 2026. This is down from $25 million in 2021, when Australia ranked 25th in the world. Sweden topped the list at $25 million, followed by Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. On the other hand, Australian shellfish imports are expected to grow 1.8% year on year on average over the same period, reaching $240 million by 2026. This is up from $213 million in 2021, when Australia came in 10th worldwide. Canada was the leader at $213 million, followed by Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
