New Zealand ranked 25th in 2021, with Finland surpassing them to take the top spot. Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom were numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking. Meanwhile, New Zealand's shellfish exports are expected to reach $14.3 million by 2026, down from $20.1 million in 2021. This marks a 5.9% average decrease year-on-year. Since 2000, New Zealand's supply has dropped by 1.6% annually. In 2021, the country ranked 27th, with Mexico taking the lead. Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia respectively came in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 in the ranking.
