Since 2000, the supply of Polish shellfish has decreased by almost 10 percent year on year. In 2021, Poland was the 33rd largest exporter of shellfish, with Colombia overtaking it at $4.7 million. Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia respectively came in second, third, and fourth in that ranking. On the other hand, Polish shellfish imports are expected to grow by 2.6 percent CAGR between 2021 and 2026, increasing from $16.2 million to 19.2 million. Since 2000, the demand for such imports has increased by 11.7 percent year on year. In 2021, Poland was the 28th largest importer of shellfish, with Ireland surpassing it at $16.2 million. Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom respectively ranked second, third, and fourth in that ranking.
