Slovene shellfish exports are on the rise. By 2026, they're expected to hit $323 million, up from $269 million in 2021. The country has seen an average 2.9% growth rate year-on-year since 2021, although there was a 9.9% drop from 2000 onwards. In 2021, Luxembourg was ahead with $269 million, while Slovenia was the 42nd largest exporter. Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia came in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th respectively. Slovene shellfish imports are also growing. By 2026, they're forecast to reach $4.5 billion, up from $3.7 billion in 2021. Since 2000, demand has increased by 8.1% year-on-year. In 2021, India was the top importer at $3.7 billion. Japan, South Korea, and the UK followed in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places respectively.
