In 2018, Guyana imported close to 39.1 kilograms of wax, a dramatic drop of 90.9% compared to 2017, when the country imported 428.88 kilograms. Since 2002, Guyanese demand for wax has steadily grown at an average rate of 19.6% each year. Guyana was ranked 134th in the world for wax imports, while Belize came ahead with 39.1 kilograms. Mexico, Germany, and Poland were respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in wax imports worldwide.
