Indonesian wax imports are set to reach 12 million kilograms by 2026, an increase of 2.3% year-on-year since 1994. In 2021, the country was ranked 14th, overtaken by Portugal with 10.4 million kilograms. Mexico, Germany and Poland came in at second, third and fourth place in the ranking. In contrast, Indonesian wax exports dropped to 5,000 kilograms in 2018, down 58.9% from 12,160 kilograms in 2017. Over the past 26 years, supply has decreased by 22.6% year-on-year. In 2018, the country was ranked 59th, overtaken by Uganda's 5,000 kilograms. Malaysia, Germany and South Africa came in at second, third and fourth place in the ranking.
