Malaysia's wax exports are set to reach 123 million kilograms by 2026, according to a report. This marks a 1.7% growth on the previous year. Since 1994, Malaysian wax exports have risen by 2.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Malaysia was the second-biggest exporter of wax, with 110.7 million kilograms, while China led the way with the same figure. Germany, South Africa and Saudi Arabia came in third, fourth and fifth place, respectively. Meanwhile, Malaysian wax imports have seen a 12.7% increase in 2018, when 7.1 million kilograms were brought in. This marked a rise on the 6.3 million kilograms imported in 2017. Since 1994, Malaysian wax imports have fallen by 2.6%. Denmark was the biggest importer of wax in 2018 with 7.1 million kilograms, followed by Mexico, Germany, and Poland.
