Mauritian citrus production is on the rise. In 2021, it was 700 metric tons, and by 2026, is on track to reach 760.8 metric tons. This is an average growth of 1.4% each year since 1989. In 2021, Mauritius was the 121st largest producer of citrus, behind Samoa, who produced the same amount. In the top four producers of citrus, Brazil, India and Mexico came in at second, third and fourth respectively.
