China is projected to remain the largest citrus producer in the world in the coming years. By 2026, the country’s citrus production is expected to reach almost 54 million metric tons, a 2.3% increase from 2021. This marks a steady increase since 1966, when Chinese citrus production rose by 4.2% year-on-year. Brazil, India and Mexico come in second, third and fourth respectively in terms of citrus production.
