Citrus production in Rwanda is on the rise. It is projected to reach 12,600 metric tons by 2026, up 1.5% per year on average since 2005. In 2021, Rwanda ranked 99th in citrus production, with 11,500 metric tons, just behind Cuba. The top three producers were Brazil, India, and Mexico.
