Since 1966, Panama's citrus output has grown by a modest 0.2% a year. In 2021, Panama was the world's 77th largest producer of citrus fruits - lagging behind Afghanistan, which produced 40,000 metric tons. Brazil, India and Mexico ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
