Moroccan citrus production is on the rise. In 2021, the country reached 2.7 million metric tons, up 5.9% year-on-year since 1966. This placed Morocco in 13th position, overtaken by Italy at 2.7 million metric tons. Brazil, India and Mexico followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. By 2026, Moroccan citrus production is expected to reach 3.1 million metric tons, growing at an average rate of 2.3% year-on-year.
