Global citrus production is projected to reach 173.8 million metric tons by 2026. This is an average annual growth rate of 1.2%, up from 161.8 million metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, global supply has grown at an average rate of 2.2% per year. In 2021, China was the world's largest producer of citrus, with 46.7 million metric tons. Brazil, India and Mexico followed as the second, third and fourth largest producers, respectively. Guyana saw an impressive year-on-year growth of 35.3%, while Cuba saw a decrease of 37.4% since 1966.
