The production of citrus fruits in Pakistan is expected to increase by 0.5% annually over the next five years, growing to 2.39 million metric tons by 2026. This is a slight improvement from the 0.2% year-on-year decline since 1966. Pakistan is currently ranked 15th in terms of citrus production, with 2.32 million metric tons in 2021. Indonesia overtook it as the 14th largest producer with the same amount. Brazil, India, and Mexico are the world's top three citrus producing countries, respectively.
