Syria is set to increase its citrus production over the next five years. This year, their supply of 1.47 million metric tons is expected to reach 1.62 million metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, Syria’s production of citrus fruits has grown by an average of 2.6% each year. In 2021, they ranked nineteenth in the world, while Colombia was first with 1.47 million metric tons. Brazil, India and Mexico followed in the number two, three and four spots, respectively.
