Uzbekistan is facing a sharp rise in overweight prevalence. By 2026, an estimated 52.8 percent of the adult population will be overweight or obese, up from 50.6 percent in 2021. On average, the rate of overweight prevalence has grown by 0.7 points each year since 1980. The country ranked 111th in 2021, with Kyrgyzstan coming in ahead at 50.6 percent. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati had the highest rates of overweight prevalence, at 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
