This trend has been on the rise since 1980, growing at an average of 0.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Saint Lucia ranked number 112 out of all countries, just behind Uzbekistan which had an overweight prevalence of 50.4%. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
