Since 1980, Central African overweight rates have grown at an average rate of 1.3 points per year. In 2021, Central African overweight prevalence ranked 162nd in the world. Mozambique overtook Central African adults in overweight prevalence with 28 percent. Other countries in the top four were the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati.
