Cabo Verdean overweight prevalence is projected to rise to 40% of the adult population by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 126th with 37.3% of adults. This is an increase of 1.4 points since 1980. Sao Tome and Principe overtook Cabo Verde in the rankings with 37.3% of adults. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati came in second, third and fourth respectively.
