Indonesia is set to have 33.8 percent of its adult population overweight by 2026, according to a recent report. This is up from 31.1 percent in 2021, an increase of 1.4 points year-on-year. Since 1980, the demand for overweight adults in Indonesia has increased by two points year-on-year, placing the country at number 145 in 2021. Nigeria is ahead of Indonesia with 31.1 percent of its adult population being overweight, followed by the Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati in the respective places of 2, 3 and 4.
