Oman is set to have the highest adult obesity rate in the world by 2026. Currently, 68.2 percent of adults in the country are expected to be overweight, up from 65.5 percent in 2021. The rate has increased by an average of 0.7 points each year since 1980. Israel has the highest adult obesity rate in 2021, at 65.5 percent. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati follow in second, third and fourth place respectively.
