The prevalence of obesity in Lebanon is set to reach 71.7% of the adult population by 2026, up from 69.9% in 2021. This is an average increase of 0.4 percentage points each year since 1980. In 2021, Lebanon was the 14th highest in terms of the prevalence of obesity, with the United Arab Emirates overtaking Lebanon with 69.9%. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
