On the consumption front, Macedonians are expected to consume 84,000 metric tons of meat by 2028, up from 82,000 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual growth of 0.5% since 2019. Meanwhile, Macedonian meat production is forecasted to decline slightly, reaching 20,930 metric tons by 2028, down from 21,680 metric tons in 2023. This indicates a yearly decrease of 0.6%. Since 1997, the country's meat supply has been reducing at an average rate of 0.5% per year.
