Colombia's sorghum production saw a sharp increase of over 54% in 2019, from 4,130 metric tons in 2018 to 6,380 metric tons. Despite this, the country still dropped to number 72 in the international rankings, losing out to Uzbekistan. Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Mexico rounded off the top four. 2018 saw Colombia's sorghum consumption remain largely unchanged at 2 thousand metric tons, and the country ranked 50th in the world. Swaziland took the top spot, with India, China, and Ethiopia completing the top four.
