Uruguayan sorghum production is set to decline 4.7% in 2026 compared to 2021. In 2021, production was 93,170 metric tons, down 12.3% from 1966. Uruguay ranked 34th in 2021, with Eritrea taking the lead at 123,390 metric tons. Nigeria, Ethiopia and Mexico came in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
