Cameroonians are set to consume 664,400 metric tons of sorghum by 2026, up just 0.5% from 647,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, demand has increased by just 0.1% annually. In 2021, Cameroon was the ninth biggest consumer of sorghum, with Chad topping the list at 647,000 metric tons. India, China and Ethiopia were the next three biggest consumers in the ranking. Cameroon is also set to produce 1,358,600 metric tons of sorghum by 2026, up 1.3% from 1,260,800 metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, production has grown by a yearly average of 1.5%. In 2021, Cameroon was the twelfth biggest producer of sorghum, with Argentina leading the way at 1,260,800 metric tons. Nigeria, Ethiopia and Mexico were the next three biggest producers in the ranking.
